Genjustsu won't work on sage mode and a perfect jinchuriki because they have another source of chakra. The bijuu shoves chakra into it's host and a sage draws chakra from nature invalidating illusions.

Or what exactly is the explanation of genjustsu.

I guess, technically, you can say genjustsu can work on SM users. A very special one.

@ougivinsmoke @the16thhokagae The reason why genjustsu wouldn't work is because it alters flow of chakra which can be undone by pushing new chakra into the body. Sage mode takes chakra from the nature.
Izanami; classified as a genjustsu can't really be said to alter chakra rather based on physical sensations
