I wasn't going to tweet about this but because of inadequate response and action by QUT, I have no choice anymore. I believe that everyone who plays in this tournament in the future deserves to know what they're dealing with (account sharers and boosters).

QUT recently hosted a Womens League of legends Intervarsity tournament and there were several players that were either actively account sharing in the games or sharing their accounts with obvious boosters.

After investigating players OPGGs for scouting purposes, we found:
(1) Summoner spell key swapping
(2) A sudden change from playing enchanters (Yuumi, Lulu) and non-mechanical champions to the most mechanical junglers (Kha'zix, Nidalee) at an insanely high level - I'm talking like 9-10cspm + insane KP + MVP for a lot of the games.
(3) Duoing with accounts that have played and still play the exact same champions as their account (obvious account sharing)

We gave evidence of all of this to QUT and their response was basically "we're going to incorporate discord voice channel bots to monitor during the games and will ask players we suspect to share their camera/screenshare", but all of this is for 2024.

And even then, it won't do much because the current players that have been account sharing have not been punished or disqualified. They are allowed to keep playing which is a very questionable decision by QUT.

QUT just asked the players if they were account sharing and if their response was "no", that means they weren't - they were running their investigation simply on trust. Reflecting on the community surrounding this tournament and some members in certain teams, a lot of them like to pretend this isn't happening.

Their reasoning is usually "oh so you're saying a female cant do X and Y just because they're a female" but it is so far from that. Being a female league player myself, I can agree that we do get a lot more shit for our ranks and all that jazz.

But the difference is I'm not saying they're account sharing because they're female, I'm saying they're account sharing... because they are. It's so evident that anyone and their non-league playing mothers can see exactly what is happening.

But yeah basically I just wanted to shed light on this and give a heads up to anyone who wishes to compete in the future. In the past, QUT has not accepted this behaviour so it's really sad that standards have dropped
