The theme of this year’s #RefugeeWeek is compassion, which we have a lot of in Year 3. We joined author Na’ima B. Robert to listen to her beautiful story and practice illustrating. This made us want to write letters to local young refugees to welcome them to England. #SimpleActs
What a day! Year 3 are very prepared for King Charles’ coronation tomorrow! We talked about what we would do if we were King or Queen and have some brilliant ideas for our new King. We also designed our own stamp collages and commemorative plates! @BuckinghamofUK@RoyalFamily
Year 3 visited Segedunum yesterday to learn about life as a Roman soldier! We are so lucky to have this amazing piece of history right on our doorstep! @SegedunumFort#rdpshistory
Year 3 spent their English lesson identifying and mapping the feelings of the characters in our model text ‘The Caravan’. Ask us about ‘show, don’t tell’!
Pizzas were in the menu on cookery club. We explored anchovies for the first time. @PhunkyFoods some of us were brave enough to to taste them too. 😝🙌🏽 @Y4RDPS@Y3RDPS@Y6RDPS
#Y3RDPS had another fantastic science morning learning about ‘magnets and forces’ and investigating the friction of different surfaces. We measured the effect of our force in Newtons! #RDPSscience
Our World Book Day spoons were a success! We had some wonderful characters from Harry Potter, Narnia and some of our favourite Disney stories! And many, many more! #WorldBookDay2023
