A Tribute to My Uncle & Guardian, Late President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR.

Today marks one year since my uncle's passing, yet not a single day goes by without his presence in my thoughts and prayers.

To the world, he was a President, a statesman, and a leader. But to me, he was so much more. He was my uncle, my father figure, my guardian, and one of the greatest blessings Allah placed in my life.

Growing up under his guidance was a privilege I will cherish forever. His love was quiet but profound, his discipline was firm but filled with compassion, and his wisdom shaped the person I am today. He taught me that integrity is priceless, humility is strength, and service to others is one of life’s greatest callings.

He never just watched over me—he protected, encouraged, and believed in me. His presence gave me confidence, and his advice became the foundation upon which I continue to build my life.

Though his physical presence is no longer with us, his values, his prayers, and his legacy remain alive in my heart. I find comfort in the memories we shared and in the countless lessons he left behind.

As we remember him today, I pray that Almighty Allah (SWT) forgives his shortcomings, expands his grave, fills it with light, and grants him the highest place in Jannatul Firdaus. May his noble legacy continue to inspire generations, and may we honor his memory by living with the same honesty, discipline, and unwavering faith that defined his life.

He will forever remain not only my uncle but my father, my guardian, and my greatest mentor.

May Allah grant him eternal peace. Amin.
