@Roman_Baber@TheoMoudakis@TorontoStar I will add my voice to the chorus that sees, in this cartoon, that PP is blindly cheering on Trump but he can't see what's around the corner (i.e. the consequences)
@emeyorX He talks about it later in the film. He describes it to Calypso, as someone else has mentioned, it broke the rules of honour (or Zeus's law) and begins the breakdown of civilization.
@Anthony__Koch Our largest and most economically relevant city has a waterfront on which it has spent millions and and the resulting upgrades are very much a part of what makes the city great. Destroying it would be "unserious".
@eleanoir All interpretations of stories depend on the thoughts and opinions of the person doing the interpreting. You see Gaza because you are focused on Gaza... but Gaza is no different from 100s of wars that proceeded it.
@memilies It can very easily be about both ancient times and about us because the themes that run through the movie reflect the strengths and flaws of all people throughout history. It is a story that has endured because every generation can see itself in it.
@tobi@cafedujord Either everyone votes or nobody votes. Otherwise you start fighting over who is or isn't eligible.... And nobody has a good criteria to base those kinds of decisions on.
@thechrischapin Maybe because there was no good case for the airport? Maybe because Doug Ford's land grabs are suspect - the chances are high that they are only to benefit his friends. Also, 40 million Cdns? - why should anyone outside the GTA have a say in Toronto waterfront development?
@jakesgoodopines As others in the comments have mentioned, the Palestine thing became the new 'cause of the day'. It's about the notoriety and the protests, it's the 'need' to have something to set them apart. Soon something else will become trendy and they will move on again.
@sapphyreblayze Not so sure about the fascism part. There are people out there ragebaiting for clicks that will make an argument out of anything that might get them noticed. And right now stupid arguments about the whole motherhood/pregnancy thing is trendy.
@MorganBarrettX You needed confirmation? If my son had said that to me I would have sent a very stupid and unrealistic photo, probably with a profane caption.
@accordingtoca@EricDLombardi He's asking the questions that need to be asked and pointing out the problems that are worsening under a PC government. It's a big step in the right direction whether he passes all the Lib purity tests or not.
