France have lost this match in MIDFIELD. Spain have completely outplayed them both technically and physically in the centre of the pitch.
Deschamps bet everything on quick transitions and his star attackers overwhelming Spain, but that was the decisive MISTAKE.
Interestingly, France’s central midfielders aren’t looking to hold or recycle possession much — they’re playing a compact, transition-focused game, using quick vertical passes and direct balls to launch their attackers on the counter.
@Khaliburkhan4 VAR reviews should be standard. Two incidents at the end worth investigating. Thats a fact.
They chose not to do it. Decision with the VAR should be more consistent.
So if they intervened for review on the foul on Martinez earlier…why not on this one.
It may be very entertaining but very corrupt at the same time. Shame.
VAR didn't review two clear fouls inside the Argentinian box (against Egypt players) before Enzo Fernández's goal. Why? A foul on Martínez overturned Egypt's second goal. Why does the treatment have to be so one-sided? This is completely unfair. FIFA, be ashamed. Be genuinely ashamed. This is Robbery. Egypt have been robbed.
Is football really entertaining if the integrity of the game keeps being questioned?
The number of controversial decisions that go against African teams on the biggest stage is becoming impossible to ignore. This nonsense has to stop.

VAR has become football’s deus ex machina … the intervention that arrives when it wants to shape the ending of the story.
The issue isn’t whether Argentina vs Egypt should have produced a different result. The issue is that a major moment at the end of the match wasn’t even properly assessed.
If VAR exists, use it consistently. Don’t pick and choose when the machine gets switched on.

@pythaginboots Exactly. The debate isn’t whether it’s a foul or not, but the complete disregard for these two incidents in the box. That’s what’s unfair.
It’s a fact that African teams have consistently been subjected to unfair decisions at World Cups.
@UTDKarra Some are defending these. Lets talk about the ignorance of the two incidents before the third goal of Argentina.
The fact that none has been reviewed is totally absurd given that they intervened on a foul on Martinez earlier. Thats what unfair in the first place
