Replicating values in Excel can be tedious, especially when working with structured models. Here’s a smarter way: use BYROW with LAMBDA and SEQUENCE.

By combining INDEX, IF, and EOMONTH within a LAMBDA array, you can precisely calculate the number of days in each repayment month, whether your loan starts mid-cycle or ends early.

Using BYROW with LAMBDA is a smarter approach, it processes each row in your dataset dynamically and generates arrays automatically. Combine it with SEQUENCE, and you can create unique row identifiers or repeat values across multiple rows without a single manual drag.
Getting the end of each month in Excel is easier than many realize. All you need is the EOMONTH function, just provide your start date and tell Excel how many months ahead you want to go:
Pro tip: Use Ctrl + Shift + 3 to instantly format them as real dates.

Most people still manually drag formulas down rows in Excel, and that’s where errors creep in.
The smarter way? Use array functions like SCAN combined with LAMBDA.
Once you master functions like these, your models stay cleaner, faster, and error-free
