20 years ago, I was studying abroad at the @UnivofGh. Like spaceflight, it was a positive, life-changing, perspective-deepening experience. Seeing the beauty of Ghana from space reminds me of the amazing people I met there and how in exploring the world, we learn about ourselves.
TO YOU; I am truly grateful to have every one of you go on this journey with me. I don’t take any of that for granted. Thank you for listening. The music won’t stop coming. ☀️
You guys forget that boundaries are about self-control, not controlling the behaviour of others. Under a strict regime, the lawbreaker faces execution or banishment. There are no hearings, trials, or prisons 🙏🏾
I didn’t start doing physics until I was 33 and now I work on a cutting edge research project at one of the top labs in the world. You can just do things
get you a partner that doesn't mind hurting people's feelings when it comes to you. imma say it again. GET U A PARTNER THAT DOESN'T MIND HURTING PEOPLE'S FEELINGS WHEN IT COMES TO YOU.
Your partner just communicated a need to you, something they’ve carefully thought about before bringing it up to you, your first reaction shouldn’t be how their need “makes you feel” or the emotional effect it has on you. At that point what you’re saying is “I don’t care about what you’re going through, I only care about how it makes me feel”
As much as you want to be “there” for them, understanding that they are independent beings who also need time alone is important. Infact it’s cos they love you that’s why they’re telling you so it doesn’t affect the relationship later on, its what makes a relationship healthy, cos anything other than that is attachment
They still love you, they just need space, they’ll surely find you soonest
Yes, Olympia’s got a contract. $7/week allowance—negotiated by her mom (who somehow got her weekends off).
Feed the dog, clothes in the hamper, make her bed, get paid.
We’re trying to build the muscle: work = reward. Good things come when you work for it.
i CANNOT fuck with people who do NOT understand it’s the PRINCIPLE of things. it’s not what you did. it’s how you did it. and what makes it worse is knowing if roles were reversed, you’d lose your mind
