His Excellency @JDMahama is making serving us with humility his hallmark. The failed @NAkufoAddo would have ordered the Bawku Naaba and his elders to get up and greet him. A dedicated aircraft and land cruiser would have been made to carry his chair all the way from Accra to Bawku at our expense. The change we voted for is making governance better and building the Ghana we want. His Excellency @JDMahama shall succeed In Shaa Allah. Alhamdulillah.

Difficult for me not to read ulterior motives in the #GBA’s letter to the Right Honorable Chief Justice.
It sounds almost like an affront to the administrative authority of the Chief Justice. From the longest time we have almost always had vacation Judges sitting in the course of the legal vacation.

To expedite cases and to reduce the case load. Why would the #GBA want to needlessly undermine the work of the Chief Justice and to do so in such a public manner also sounds very disrespectfully disturbing.

The case load in our high courts is a worrying situation. Getting trial dates has become difficult, and some courts in the just ended legal term had to give dates in early 2027 for trials to commence.

The NPP argued that fuel prices were too high, and that concern was legitimate.

Government then intervened to reduce fuel prices while hoping global geopolitical conditions would improve over time.

Now the same NPP is asking why Government should intervene to reduce fuel prices.

Which is it? If fuel prices were genuinely too high, why oppose measures aimed at bringing them down? If Government shouldn’t intervene, then what alternative did they propose to address the high prices they were complaining about?

How does the spirit of accountability cure the issues the Court raised in its judgment. The accused had gone through full trial and judgement given. She felt dissatisfied, and appealed. Why should she be subjected to another retrial all in the ‘spirit of accountability’?

I read the decision of the court, and I largely agree with the ruling, to the extent that the prosecutor could have done better. My only disappointment has to do with the court. I was expecting that, even after arriving at that conclusion, the court, in the spirit of accountability, should have ordered a retrial.

The country was more than a crime scene from 2017 to 2024. How can people who have been entrusted with public office be this greedy. What at all are we looking for in this world? Gifty Oware-Mensah and the other suspects in this matter should not walk free. ORAL must succeed no matter the difficulties. We need to recover all the loot and ensure that they are prosecuted with conviction and sentence being the ultimate goal. Imagine what this 548m plus that was looted within 6 years can do for the Republic.

And to think that the auditors at ADB could not also detect the fraud in the loan application baffles me. Goodness God.

The next government after 2028 has some serious standards on cost cutting and other governance KPIs to follow. How many staff at the Flagstaff House actually watch DSTV while at work? Meanwhile, you can imagine how much expenditure goes into the subscriptions. Too much waste in the system.

Someone wrote a contract to give a contractor $30m as mobilisation. The same person says the contractor is free to go away with $30m if there is delay in releasing additional funding for the project. Will you approve this kind of contract if you love your Country Ghana ?
