"I was asked a similar question not long ago in another interview, and while answering, I realized that sometimes it’s easier to understand when you compare it to something. What came to mind was a wave. A wave constantly carves out its own path, crashing and breaking apart, yet still moving forward and creating its way. I feel like I’m living a bit like that right now, like a wave. As time goes by, I don’t want to become someone that the whole world knows, like, “Wow, everyone everywhere recognizes me”. No, no, that’s too big of a dream. What I really want is simply that when people hear the name Yves, they can all agree, “Her music is truly good”. That’s the kind of artist I want to be"
