@MyntraSupport It is terrible that you send the package to lst mile delivery and then cancel the order from your end despite having all info prior hand. You’re advertising only to generate orders and not deliver them. @myntra@MyntraSupport
Lots to unpack here.
1. Prashant Desai has no training in medicine and healthcare. He is currently strategy in charge of Burger King India.
2. There is nothing called a "superfood." All foods have their nutritive value and are super in their own way.
3. Ghee is not a prebiotic. It is clarfied butter. Ayurvedic practitioners erroneously consider ghee as prebiotic, because they just hijack those terms from medical science to "look cool and scientific" without knowing what they actually mean.
4. Ghee does not burn fat. In fact it adds to lipids inside our body. It has saturated fatty acids in the highest proportion (>50%) with palmitic, myristic and stearic acids being dominant ones. The CLA or conjugated linoleic acid is only 0.8 to 1%.
5. Maximum levels of CLA is in many animal products, like milk, beef, and other meat. Grass-fed beef may have higher levels of CLA than grain-fed beef. It's also high in sunflower and safflower oil - much more than ghee.
6. A study showed that ghee that is predominantly saturated fats had an increasing effect on non-HDL-cholesterol (bad fat) compared with olive oil, adding further evidence to the existing recommendations to replace dietary fats high in saturated fatty acids with dietary fats high in unsaturated fats to reduce heart disease risk. https://t.co/NAtpj36QEg
Summary: In fact, ghee is not a superfood, it is a rich source of saturated fats, has potential to increase cardiac risk, has no proteins, is all fat-based calories, is not a prebiotic, is a good source of fat soluble vitamins and its daily consumption can increase risk of obesity, and not burn fat or reduce weight.
Burger King India strategists such as Prashant Desai, must stick to selling paneer and chicken tikka burgers.
People at @zerodha were sharing videos on the internal forum on World Music Day. Some asked me to share my amateur attempt 😬 I had shared a video to highlight the importance of having some hobbies outside work.
My video was a tribute to my favorite singers, such as Latha Mangeshkar, KK, SPB, and Bappi Lahiri, who passed away recently.
At the risk of getting trolled by your friends, share your amateur attempt in the comments?🙈
My morning schedule starts with looking at which patients in the ICU survived the night, which ones will die before sunset and preparing myself first to face the loss of life and then preparing them & their respective families to complete the journey from critical illness to a dignified death with kindness.
The rest of the day, like every day, is a haze powered by coffee, in the absence of lunch since decades and catering to patients on end of life care and their families that exhausts me, so much that, I dream that one day I'll quit this for good and take care of myself.
I haven't caught up with friends or gone for a leisurely evening walk for a long time, I can't remember when I did that last.
I don't remember the last time I took my children and wife for a relaxing evening time-out. I actually don't see evenings because usually, I'll be at the back of my car with a headache & napping my way home from a tough hospital schedule almost all days of the week.
I come back home and then complete my pending clinical research, work on preparing for lectures and study material, I try to catch up on latest medical publications and media questions. I don't know when I can sleep and when I finally do get to bed, I can't sleep good because I'm worried about the patients who might not make it that night.

I am looking at the young mother lying on the hospital bed
She's shivering & the fever is high
Her liver functions are climbing
Her baby girl is waiting back home
Her father is troubled
I'm faced with an unknown foe, tiny, yet so powerful, it nearly broke me.
Nearly.

The darker side of dark chocolates
1. Dark chocolates are popular due to their potential health benefits (they are rich in anti-oxidants and are good for heart) and moreover, they are low in sugar content. >50% consider them as safer and healthier option (as compared to candies)
