Six years ago today, on Friday, 25th September 2020, in Katsina, Naeemah and I became husband and wife. ❤️

Alhamdulillah for the beautiful journey we have shared since that day. Through the happy moments, the challenges, the growth and everything in between, Allah has blessed us with love, companionship and a beautiful family.

One of the greatest blessings of our marriage is our precious daughter, Fatima Zarah, who has brought even more joy and meaning into our lives. ❤️

Naeemah, I am grateful for you, for your love, your patience, your companionship and for the home we continue to build together.

Six years down, Alhamdulillah. May Allah continue to bless our marriage, protect our family, increase the love between us and grant us many more beautiful years together.

Happy 6th Wedding Anniversary to us. ❤️

Comprehension is increasingly becoming a difficult thing for many people.

I understand that social media brings together people from different backgrounds and educational levels. But even among those who appear reasonably educated, it is becoming increasingly difficult for some people to digest and understand a simple paragraph.

Just look at the comments section of my previous post about Malam El-Rufai’s ordeal.

Some people interpreted the post as an attempt to shield Malam, and even accused me of not saying anything when Malam was in power.

Another group interpreted the very same post as an attempt to justify Malam’s continued detention and give the FG a soft landing.

Imagine that! The same post, yet two completely opposite interpretations.

What is even more disappointing is that some of these supposedly educated people could not articulate a coherent counterargument or engage with the substance of what I wrote. Instead, they resorted to abusive language.

Disagreement is perfectly normal. In fact, I welcome thoughtful disagreement. But if you disagree with an argument, engage with the argument. Explain where you think it is flawed. Present a counterargument. Do not substitute insults for reasoning.

This is, to say the least, unfortunate.
