@JohnWaveri23954@kurt_cocain3@cutesy_kuromiii martin luther king is literally a great example of someone highly educated who used ebonics 😭 you seem very mistaken on what ebonics even is.
@JohnWaveri23954@kurt_cocain3@cutesy_kuromiii african ethnic groups. for example, SC was heavily influenced by angola/congo ethnic groups earlier, then nigeria. Aave most likely originated as a creole lang that differed a lot from region to region and today although ties been decreolized, it still has its regional variations
@JohnWaveri23954@kurt_cocain3@cutesy_kuromiii black americans of all different financial backgrounds and education levels do and can speak using ebonics. most of us can code switch in the same way a bilingual person would. it’s also regional because different areas in the british colonies had influence from diff+
@JohnWaveri23954@kurt_cocain3@cutesy_kuromiii people immigrating their fav rappers doesn’t automatically negate the fact that ebonics is a legitimate language or dialect that has been developing for over 400 years. just because racist call it improper doesn’t make it improper. it’s just not general american english.
