OH my god. I got some feedback on my last manuscript submission, which is super lucky but some of their comments are dumb as fuck. Like "How do you define 'culturally diverse students'?" Hello?? Students from other cultures? Anyone with a singular brain cell can understand that

Got him tested today and he's FIV+, but fortunately negative for FeLV. It isn't as bad as it sounds but it limits his options a lot. I'm treating him for fleas and a tapeworm now 🙏

I have a new boy who I pulled off the street after a tropical storm 💖 He was scared out of his mind but super lovey, and now he's doing way better! I'm currently interviewing a potential foster-to-adopter but if that falls through I may have a backup foster through a rescue 🤞

Long time no twittering 🌝 I'm starting Japanese school tomorrow for the next three months! I got placed in level 4 of 5 (5 being the highest), so I'm hoping I can pass N2 this July 🤞🤞🤞

Kittens are negative for FIV and FeLV!! 🎉 So today the big two in front (pre-adoption names are Kirin and Lupin 😻) are going to an adoption event run by a pro and the small two (named Apples and Oranges by the potential adopters 😻) have guests coming to meet them. 👏

I spent the rest of the work day checking student essays about endangered animals. Like how sea otters are endangered because global warming poisoned created toxic algae that poisoned them. Now I'm reading about how to live a cruelty free life 🫠

I contacted another animal rescue and they sent me some really specific info about how to avoid giving the cats to animal abusers. It was so specific, it made me feel like there's organised crime against animals. Which is obviously possible 🙃

@PurpleKippy I still have to keep them quarantined from him just in case so they haven't met. He knows they're here though and he's curious! He doesn't seem too bothered but he definitely gets FOMO when I hang out with them 😆

The vet cleaned their faces and declared them "recovered" today. 🥰 They're getting way friendlier and starting to play a lot more!

I need to start making some info in Japanese to help find a home for the other two. Also my hairdresser here rescues cats so I'll get her advice!

There ended up being FOUR cats. Two are completely wild but I'm learning. I found a lot of good info online but I don't have a lot of access to the stuff they suggest here.

Shelters won't work with me but I found a great home for two of them so far!

Combed out more fleas and gave the boy a bath, then cleaned their crusty little faces. The girl figured out the litter box and is being playful but boy is probably still feeling a little uncomfortable. They're looking better anyway! Tomorrow I'll take the girl to the vet.

My main squeeze has been curious but unbothered by this situation lol. He repeatedly unpacks the toy drawer I lovingly made for him 😆

Kitten update 🥰

I got guardianship of two of the three kittens yesterday night! One had been to the vet last week and the other hadn't, so I took him right away. Lots of fleas but they got treatment and the girl got a bath! I may be able to get the third one tonight, depends

A lot of vet visits coming up, but we're focusing on one issue at a time 😆 Right now my focus is to rid them of fleas and stuff them with food. Boy got antibiotics and cortisol for a cold yesterday.
