For those who don't know @JICRochelle, she's THE person for Japanese business culture and just wrote her 40th book.
This one builds upon her previous work and talks about how Japanese management style needs to change in the face of the country's growing digital transformation.
If you don't speak Japanese, you can still find numerous books (in English), talks, etc. a quick Google away.
And give her English account a follow @JapanIntercult
All the women on the Olympics podium for skateboard park are of Japanese descent for the first time, with gold winner Arisa Trew of Australia, silver winner Kokona Hiraki of Japan, and bronze medalist Sky Brown of Britain ❤️
Not only Dragons, but they are Wood Dragons and this year is the Wooden Dragon Year. Sixty years is one full circle around the Chinese Zodiac, so this is very, very lucky.
Walz is collecting on that Chinese juju he earned back in the day.
random little fun fact: kamala harris and tim walz are both 60 this year, which means it's their chinese zodiac year and they're both dragons. we got a double dragon ticket here, v lucky 🐉🐉
ChatGPT has a vaguely gaijin accent in Japanese. Specifically of the white male varietal. It's slight, but it's there.
It's pretty funny.
Go have it read some Japanese!
@OpenAI
@jimbudweisser@OpenAI Yeah ChatGPT has a speak function now. That’s what I was referring to. If you have it speak in Japanese, it sounds vaguely gaijin.
@jimbudweisser@OpenAI I was having ChatGPT read something random for me (about taxes actually), noticed the accent, then started having it say the usual Nihongo 101 things to test out the accent and have a laugh.
@jimbudweisser@OpenAI Yeah, the way it says 大好き or 好. Otherwise it’s hard to put a good finger on it but hubs and I both looked at each other and were like “are you hearing a gaijin too” 🤣 there’s something oddly American about the voice and pronunciations
