something i will always value and treasure with my heart is how sylus waits for mc to make her own decisions no matter what. it shows, to his very core, how much he loves and *respects* her deeply. it’s who he is.

he waited for her when he came to the N109 Zone, and stayed there just in case she decided to go there herself

elysium’s menu item “sweet evil trap” which he labeled “i’m waiting for you”. not “come find me”/etc.

he was careful to reveal their past together because he wanted to make sure that was ultimately what she wanted. when he said “remember it well this time” when they both escaped the research center again.

he was the one to show dimitri how strong she has become, in dimitri’s last dying moments - sylus forced him to look at mc. to show him that despite the countless attempts to utilize her power, she will always prove to be stronger than that.

even when they were children in the arena, mc chose to grab sylus’s hand and make them a team - after he asked whether or not she hates players who steal each other’s points or players who cant keep up with her.

it explains why we see sylus so incredibly strong and his powers stretch so vastly. HE is the one keeping up with mc, because he knows how strong she is/what she’s capable of. he loves and respects her so, so much😭😭
