Mohammed Kudus was meant to receive a yellow card for his tribute to Christian Atsu but referee Pol van Boekel opted not to book him, telling the Ajax forward he understands "this is a bigger situation than football.”
Class ❤️
Day 2 - Tehran
Metro ride was free because that's how Iranian hospitality is like. Boy on train kissed my hand and tried to give me the chewing gums he was selling.. But was it truly free? 🤔 Iranians had alot of style, our tourist clothes stood out. Black hijab is the norm.
Day 3 - Tehran
We continued to take the metro for free - some allowed entry due to hospitality, while some couldn't be bothered. Esp because you need a metro card that could only be bought by a local bank card, of which we have neither 😂 Each metro station was run differently.
Day 3 - Tehran
Went to Alborz restaurant and double repeated our order for 1 main course, but of course 2 main course came and we paid. 🤦🏻♂️ Had to dapao cos too much and we walked back 1h because of calories and to punish ourselves for poor budget control.
Day 3 - Tehran
Golestan Palace was quite amazing. Tehran very organised - shopping areas by product category both on streets and in bazaar. Coffee, kebab & chocodonut from bazaar were cheap and good. RANI'S ass was grabbed 😒 we think it was a boy 🤷🏻♂️
Day 2 - Alamut/Tehran
Driver brought us home 4 lunch otw to Tehran cos he's hungry. When reaching Tehran, he said he didn't get paid 4 day 1 cos didn't follow instructns of Guesthouse. We couldn't do much - alr spent a bomb at Alamut cos we didn't ask 4 price b4 consuming things.
Day 1 - Alamut
Reached entrance of Castle of assassins at 5am after being picked up at airport at 1am. Driver frequently danced and sang with his hands off the wheel and drove up windy mountain roads. Slept in the car for an hour. Proceeded to hike 10km after that. Great start 😂
