He definitely has some value after the numbers he put up in 2026
But if they’re only doing this to put Rice back at 1B full-time in order to open up the DH slot for Stanton then they’re even dumber than I thought
I think our fanbase is far too toxic for this to happen. The first error he makes will make people go ballistic, justified or not. And it would be that way the entire time no matter what.
Also, the reality is that Gleyber is a slightly above league average bat with very poor defense at 2B. He’d help balance out the lineup, but I don’t think it’s worth it to the Yankees to bring that attention to the team.
I think Gleyber would be best served going to a place where the expectations are in line with who he is as a player right now. Too many Yankees fans are upset that he never became a perennial All-Star and they’ll never forgive him for it.
-Guardians had 14 hits in their Game 1 win vs. Drew Rasmussen and the Rays
-Yankees had 12 total hits and never had the lead in three ALDS games vs. the Rays
Brewers were down 1-0, came back to tie it 1-1. Then they were down 2-1, came back to take the lead 3-2. They they go down 4-3, and tie it 4-4. And then they take the lead 5-4.
The Yankees would NEVER have done this. They would fold after going down 1-0 like cowards.
WOW: The #Ravens made a HISTORIC MISTAKE by keeping 31-year-old Mark Andrews over 26-year-old Isaiah Likely.
Likely has emerged as one of the three best tight ends in the #NFL this season, while Andrews has struggled mightily.
😳
This decision could haunt Baltimore for years:
