Not long ago, we shipped the Medications update for Oh My Gut, and it immediately clicked that it deserved to be a standalone companion.

That's how Meddy was born. 💊 We'll be sharing as much of the journey as possible, so stay tuned as we build it in public.

Being able to hot-swap local models vs cloud models, reasoning level and temperatur depending on the app’s state is such an underrated feature. This simplifies code a LOT and makes it easier to save time and money by being able to redirect smaller models for smaller tasks.

Seeing AI labs slowly move toward pay-per-token pricing only reinforces a view I’ve held for a while:

The edge won’t come from using the biggest model. It will come from how well you orchestrate models.

Not every task needs a frontier LLM. Some need a small model, some a larger one, and many don’t need an LLM at all.

Companies that understand this will have tighter cost control, better margins, and ultimately more pricing power.

Lean companies should obsess over operational efficiency.

Not every problem needs another subscription, AI agent, or monthly bill.

A surprisingly large percentage of operational workflows can be automated without LLMs at all, through good systems and process design.

Recurring costs are always stickier than expected.
Be critical of every subscription you add.
