THIS IS THE FACE OF A THIEF
Carlos Merino decided to split the "best of Kaisa" with me and the other three Kaisa players present on day 2. We SHOOK HANDS, created a WhatsApp group with all of us, and decided to split the prize. At the end of the tournament, when he finished first in rating, he decided to ignore the agreement and keep the card for himself.
I'm shocked by this behavior. If he hadn't been ahead in terms of rating, the deal would have been valid and he would have gotten his share.

@patrick_j_hoban not allowing foreigners isnt the worst. If they already have a lottery system and local players already can't make it in, it's one of the more reasonable remedies to the solution rather than have international players fly in exacerbating 1 and frustrated being subject to 2-4
@FarfaYGO@swannoise Not sure how valid the environmental impact is in the context of a card game in which players electively fly to events as well as the single use plastics/rubbish among all the product opened
@D0nkeyHS Fwiw, I think a lot of passionate people express frustration when they love a game/hobby and want it to be as good as it can be but the creators have different ideas. I dont think its entirely unreasonable to have bouts of anger and I would consider it still to be passion
@PurrlyYGO@crimsonjake2 Konami have quick adjusted cards points. If it really was an issue, they would just temporarily hard set them to an arbitrary high unplayable number until they figure it out which they havent so they deem it as a nonissue.
@rpenaranda44@MistilteinnYGO Basically we trade 3 rounds of topcut for 3rounds of swiss allowing for more ygo to be played (and enjoyed) by all. In theory it increases engagement and players needed to win those 3 extra rounds to have made top8 anyway
