Some people think they're buying brand-new iPhones.
But they're actually buying iPhones that have been used before and simply repackaged.
Well, there are ways to check whether that iPhone you're buying is truly new before you make payment.
I'll share two methods below:
▫️ METHOD 1
- Check the phone's serial number at the back of the box.
- Then visit checkcoverage . apple . com (Type it appropriately.)
- Enter the serial number in the space provided.
After inputting the serial number...
✅ If you see "Please activate your iPhone" (or a similar message), that's a good sign. It means the iPhone has never been activated. It's purely new.
⚠️ But if the page says the phone is activated, that's questionable. A brand-new iPhone should normally not be activated yet except by its first owner.
▫️ METHOD 2
- You can also visit iUnlocker . com.
- Scroll down.
- Type in the IMEI or serial number.
- The site will display information about your device.
✅ "Past First Activation" should ideally show NO.
⚠️ If it shows YES, that phone has been used before.
.....
