I can hardly imagine anyone who hasn’t seen this photograph. But it was taken on this day in 2000.

I cannot believe the photo is 26 years old now.

The boy in the photograph was Fares Odeh. He was just 14 years old.

Ten days after this image was captured, Fares went out again to throw stones at Israeli tanks, seeking to avenge the killing of his 17-year-old cousin.

An Israeli sniper shot him in the neck, killing him.

And there is another chilling detail to this photograph.

The photo changed Israeli tank doctrine. In August 2001, The Jerusalem Post quoted an anonymous tank doctrinist saying tank personnel were now instructed to fire upon rock-throwers.

مع تقديري لرأيك و تفهمي للحقيقة بخصوص العنصرية الحاقدة للصهاينة إلا أنه لابد من التأكيد على حقيقتين :

١- الصهيونية تيار سياسي متوحش لا يمثل اليهودية كما أن الدواعش لا يمثلون الإسلام.
فالأدق أن نقول المجتمع الصهيوني الإسرائيلي و ليس اليهودي . فالخلط بين المصطلحات يصب لصالح الدعاية الصهيونية بإعتبار معاداة الصهيونية و إسرائيل معاداة للسامية . فلا يخفى عليكم هناك تيارات يهودية من المتدينين اليهود ( الحريديم) خارج و داخل إسرائيل يؤمنون بعدم تمثيل الصهاينة لليهودية و منهم من يرفع علم فلسطين حتى في القدس .

2- و إن كان الصهاينة يتفقون في حقدهم على العرب إلا أن الحقيقة تحسبهم جميعا و قلوبهم شتى. فالناس هناك حبهم للحياة و تذمرهم من فشل النتن في ضبط ضغوط الحياة اليومية بسبب إستمرار الحرب توجهوا نحو المعارضة نسبيا و أما الزيادة في عدد الأصوات المؤيدة للنتن فهي زيادة تتناسب مع زيادة عدد السكان و الأهم في نتيجة و عدد المقاعد التي خسرها النتن مقابل المعارضة بما لا يسمح له تشكيل حكومة بمفرده.
