@drmatthewgreen thanks for a fascinating @guardianclasses talk. I was following along for the more recent sites on the NLS maps site. Fascinating to see what was beneath the reservoir at Tryweryn https://t.co/oT7Sfi2iYD
@daringfireball NFC might not have been widely used in the US (as per your CNBC link), but it has been used for years across the EU with every credit/debit card and chip/pin terminal. Apple Pay was a revolution in the US because you were still swiping cards when it came along.
@trexover9000 @DANNYonPC@MKBHD I kind of get that, but I like my scales to have a zero point I can understand and not “the freezing temperature of a solution of brine made from a mixture of water, ice, and ammonium chloride”
@simondotau@dontpannic@caseyliss@dawsin @elkmovie @MKBHD Absolutely agree. At no point have I ever thought “Celsius isn’t working for me.” Cook a pizza, make a cup of tea, t-shirt weather, ice on roads - the scale has always made perfect sense to me.
@TomDavenport At the end of the day, you just can’t depend on companies to reliably provide privacy features, because they’re ultimately going to have to comply with local law to conduct business there. I guess it’s back to roll your own from open source then…
@FansEdgeSupport hey there, I ordered 4 t-shirts for my son, the order was split in two parts. I received the second part, but not the first, even though both show as shipped and arriving on the same day. Love the shirts I got, just looking forward to getting the other two.
