You were as a reed snatched from fire. You became My own, My special treasure. Never have I forsaken you, and never shall your seed beg for bread.

But as for you, enter into the season of your ascent. You will be blessed in your comings and blessed in your goings. You will be blessed in the city and also in the field. You shall be blessed in the land of which I am giving you, and blessed abroad when you enlarge your tent.

THAT “FRIEND” IS NOT GOING WHERE YOU’RE GOING

At the end of the day, Ruth and her sister-in-law Orpah were very different women. It would be revealed they had very different standards, very different spirits, and for that reason, very different destinies awaited them.

When it came down to it, Orpah was quite comfortable going back to her heathen lifestyle— even after she had learned about the One True God, and had been exposed to the blessed lifestyle of a woman of faith.

PAY ATTENTION:

In life, there will come several moments that are uncommonly pregnant with potential. These moments are junctures in which destiny is decided — your decisions can lead you one way or another way. Amen.

You will be asked to make a decision and at that time, your decision will be informed by your character, faith, integrity, and spiritual fortitude. The outcome of that decision will be seen in the season that subsequently arrives.

DECISIONS DECIDE DESTINY.

Orpah kissed her mother-in-law Naomi goodbye, and went back to her false gods in the land of Moab— where she suffered a horrific end and descended in shocking ruin.

Ruth made a very vocal declaration of faith in the Lord, loyalty to Naomi, and commitment to stay by Naomi’s side in honor. More quickly than she could have ever known, Ruth stepped into a season of incredible favor that culminated in her marriage to a wonderful man (Boaz), and that marriage put her in the bloodline of Jesus Christ.

DECISIONS DECIDE DESTINY.

CONNECTIONS WILL SURELY BRING CULMINATIONS.

Orpah could not go where Ruth was going. In truth, Ruth needed to separate from Orpah, lest she be at risk of missing destiny-level- moments and doors of opportunity.

• Being around the wrong people can make you miss moments and opportunities.

• Being around the wrong people can introduce compromise to your faith and cause you to be in situations that can be detrimental to your future.

🚨 This post is not really about Ruth and Orpah, it is about you and the people in your life.

Who do you need to distance yourself from? Who introduces drama or compromise?

This is Resurrection Season - it’s time for new life.

This is the Season of Infallible Proofs - it’s time to see miracles.

Pray for Orpah as she goes… the effectual, fervent prayers of the righteous do availeth much. The prayer of intercession can indeed move God’s heart to change someone’s destiny.

PRAY… BUT LET HER GO.

You are called to a higher road, a higher destiny, a new season, a new level.

Favor and opportunity are at the door!
