@pointofhopes - but I’ve also seen it done really well as a sacrificial aspect!! It also works when the mc’s whole personality surrounds magic and they suddenly have to learn who they are without it! :•)

@pointofhopes I completely get both sides, sometimes it can feel a bit …unnecessary especially as the whole world building around the magical qualities can just disappear (a lot of the time mc losing powers = magic never being spoken about again) but definitely depends on the context and -
