@JasonVirgoAU @AntonyGreenElec@mceoin If a voter chooses to exhaust their vote, then it is up to them. They shouldn't be forced to accept preferences that they do not want.
@maz_jovanovich @Frank61pc Agree, having spent time in both Sydney and Brisbane I would argue DST is not really needed in Australia. I prefer not using DST in summer as it is cooler with sun setting earlier in the day.
@6thEst@pettifer_james@bruhbushka@newbury3186 I would say vaccines for some jobs are essential and for safety reasons. In my profession as an engineer, I need proper licenses and PPE for certain work, which I have to accept as necessary.
@BeardedXRP@DanielJanes @JC3PO_ @MarkMcGowanMP 1st - most people don't have severe side effects from the vaccine
2nd - its never designed to stop the spread. All it does is reduce the risk of dying or being severely ill if you are infected.
@thewelldressed1@Cdoglover1@MarkMcGowanMP I am an engineer, yet I can't drive a bulldozer or any other construction machinery. I need a proper licence to operate these dangerous vehicles, just like owning a gun you need a proper licence.
@Cdoglover1 @Cryptopolis202 @JC3PO_ @MarkMcGowanMP Agree with you, you're not being tortured or killed by any government officials for rejecting the vaccine. All you lose is your freedom to choose your employment, which is totally fair in my opinion.
@NotTomorrowOk@LyndaFrench19@lotus2955 @WAHealth That sounds like a good idea, but I bet those same inconsiderate people will complain 'But the NoRth is all dEserT'
@NotTomorrowOk@LyndaFrench19@lotus2955 @WAHealth I sort of sympathise with you about your condition and how you can't participate as well in this new environment
@brendan_harrold@MarkMcGowanMP Of course hospital numbers are high, cases are high too
The thing is the relative numbers, hospitalisation as a % of total cases is less now vs start of pandemic.
@LyndaFrench19@NotTomorrowOk@lotus2955 @WAHealth But now with 90%+ people double vexed the risk of death is a lot lower, only about 0.1% so the time is right to slowly relax the toughest restrictions
@LyndaFrench19@NotTomorrowOk@lotus2955 @WAHealth Agree with you lynda, it is all about acceptable risks.
I was all for lockdowns when the virus first struck, the death rate was too high
@EleanorZiva@leilaaaorwateva@MarkMcGowanMP Well for common cold I pretty much caught it every year and was always out for like a week or so. So if covid is like that where you can catch it yearly then it should be OK.
@jackiesoftly@HippopiJ@leilaaaorwateva@MarkMcGowanMP It was a brain scan as I have pre existing brain issue. But I will keep monitoring and if it gets bad few years from now I will know these studies were right.
