@ifrahmufti@NewIndianXpress Academic collaborations are based on scholarly expertise, academic credentials and institutional requirements, not on your baseless allegations. If you are doing journalism, at least verify your facts before attempting to malign the Registrar, the VC and respected academics of JMI
@ifrahmufti@NewIndianXpress Your allegations against the Registrar of Jamia Millia Islamia are baseless and without any credible foundation. It seems people like you cannot digest the fact that a Pasmanda Muslim has reached such a significant position.
@ifrahmufti@NewIndianXpress You claimed that Dr. Masud Alam belongs to the same village as the VC. For your information, Dr. Masud Alam is from West Bengal and VC is from Bihar.
@ifrahmufti@NewIndianXpress Instead of respecting merit, you resort to unverified claims and what appears to be paid journalism. First, you levelled allegations against the Registrar; now you have shifted your target to the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia.

On the occasion of the 80th Independence Day, Jamia Millia Islamia proudly celebrated the spirit of freedom, unity and our shared national identity.
The celebration was graced by Shri Jitan Ram Manjhi, Hon’ble Union Minister of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India, as the Chief Guest, along with Prof. Mazhar Asif, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Jamia Millia Islamia, and other distinguished dignitaries from the Ministry of MSME.
In my address, I highlighted that the independence, we enjoy today was achieved through the supreme sacrifices and valour of countless freedom fighters. The British came to India as traders, and following the Battle of Plassey in 1757, gradually expanded their political control and pursued policies of division and divide and rule.
The dream of our freedom fighters was not merely to free Bharat from colonial rule, but to build a nation founded on unity in diversity—where hundreds of communities and castes, and people belonging to all religions, could live together with mutual respect, harmony and brotherhood.
Youth always plays important role in nation building, and they are the main contributor in Viksit Bharat.
On this historic occasion, I extend my heartfelt greetings and best wishes to the entire Jamia fraternity and all our fellow countrymen. Let us honour the sacrifices of our freedom fighters by strengthening the unity, integrity and fraternity of our great nation.
Jai Hind! 🇮🇳

It was a moment of profound pride and institutional glory to witness the 105th Foundation Day celebrations of Jamia Millia Islamia, a university that stands as a beacon of knowledge, culture, and national integration. The event was inaugurated by Hon’ble Union Minister of Minority and Parliamentary Affairs, Shri Kiren Rijiju Ji in the gracious presence of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. Mazhar Asif. Dean Students’ Welfare, Deans of the Faculties, Heads, Directors and other officers of Jamia were also present on the occasion. The Hon’ble Minister’s inspiring address and generous announcements — including support for new research facilities, a larger auditorium, and infrastructure development worth ₹181 crores — reflect the Government’s deep trust and confidence in Jamia’s enduring legacy of excellence.
The Minister’s heartfelt tribute to Jamia’s founders and his recognition of our university as a living symbol of India’s unity in diversity deeply resonated with everyone present. His words — “Mere dil mein khas jagah hai Jamia ke liye” — beautifully captured the emotional connect Jamia continues to inspire.
As Registrar, I take immense pride in witnessing Jamia’s continued rise as a premier centre of learning, culture, and inclusivity. We reaffirm our commitment to uphold Jamia’s ideals of knowledge, integrity, and nation-building. I would like to extend my warm wishes on this 105th Foundation Day to all the faculty members, non-teaching staff, students, alumni, security staff, and safai karamcharis for their dedication and contribution to Jamia’s progress. 🇮🇳✨

As part of Vigilance Awareness Week, I had the honour of administering the Integrity Pledge in both Hindi and English to the teaching and non-teaching staff of Jamia Millia Islamia at the lawns of the main administrative block. The pledge reaffirms our collective commitment to transparency, accountability, and ethical conduct in public life, aiming to build a corruption-free institution and nation.
The observance of this week reflects the leadership of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Mazhar Asif ji, and the active efforts of the Registrar’s office in promoting a culture of integrity, good governance, and zero tolerance towards corruption at Jamia Millia Islamia. @PMOIndia@rashtrapatibhvn@EduMinOfIndia@dpradhanbjp@ugc_india@KirenRijiju@MOMAIndia@AmitShah@rajnathsingh@jmiu_official@PIBHomeAffairs

Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Ji was an extraordinary statesman whose integrity, humility and determination strengthened India, including during challenging times. He personified exemplary leadership, strength and decisive action. His clarion call of ‘Jai Jawan Jai Kisan’ ignited a spirit of patriotism among our people. He continues to motivate us in the endeavour of building a strong and self-reliant India.
On Vijaya Dashami, a hundred years ago, the RSS was born with the aim of working towards serving society and nation building. Over a hundred years, innumerable Swayamsevaks devoted their lives towards fulfilling this vision. Here are my thoughts.
