No stones were pelted. No petrol bombs were hurled. No political criminals were injected into the student protests in Jharkhand, unlike Jantar Mantar. Yet the police has resorted to a lathi charge.

Will Rahul Gandhi, Arvind Kejriwal, and their proxies Dipke and gang speak up against the police action?

Will the former police officers and self-appointed civil society experts who routinely lecture police forces on “how to police” now have something to say about Jharkhand Police?

And I hope they have noticed the police personnel carrying riot-control gear, including pellet guns.

Will they speak up now or will their hypocrisy get the better of them?
