One of the biggest lessons from the Financial Markets:
In futures, being right about the overall trend isn’t enough.
Leverage makes timing crucial. A relatively small move against you can force you out of the market before your thesis has a chance to play out.
Fundamentals can help with the forecast.
Technical analysis becomes essential for execution — when to enter, where to exit, and when to stay out.
Direction tells you what.
Timing tells you when.

When you stop reading books, you start losing verbal dexterity, depth of thought and imagination. A closed book is a closed mind. Don't EVER stop reading.
Market Action Discounts Everything.
One of the foundational ideas behind technical analysis is that price is the ultimate reflection of everything affecting a market.
Fundamentals, politics, economics, psychology, sentiment, supply and demand — whatever influences the market eventually expresses itself through price.
This is why technical analysts focus so heavily on price action.
If demand is greater than supply, prices rise.
If supply is greater than demand, prices fall.
The interesting part is the reversal of this logic :
We don’t always need to know why price is moving. The movement itself is information.
Charts don’t create the market. They reflect the collective actions and psychology of everyone participating in it.
The objective isn’t necessarily to explain every move.
It’s to read what the market is telling you.
