Sanjay Parikh is a senior advocate at the Supreme Court of India with a distinguished legal career spanning over four decades. He has led landmark cases concerning environmental protection, human rights, and constitutional law. His notable litigation includes the mandatory disclosure of assets and criminal records by electoral candidates, the establishment of the 'None of the Above' (NOTA) voting option, and representing victims of the Bhopal gas tragedy. Furthermore, he has championed the rights of those affected by starvation in Odisha's KBK districts, individuals displaced by major dam projects including Tehri, Sardar Sarovar, and Omkareshwar and the forest rights of the Dongria Kondh tribe in Niyamgiri, Odisha.
An accomplished author and editor, Mr Parikh has written Courts & Hunger and Blue Lady. His Hindi poetry books, Dhoop me Chipe Shabd, Tum Ho To Hoon and Kuch Na Kaho Iss Sanjh, are published by Vani Prakashan, and Hatheli par Khili Dhoop by Bharatiya Jnanpith. Currently, he serves as the Chairperson of the Indian Council of Legal Aid and Advice and President of Sasta Sahitya Mandal, a known publishing house inspired by Mahatma Gandhi.
Neeta Mathur is an English educator with extensive experience of teaching at the senior secondary level in a reputed school located in New Delhi. Deeply engaged with literature and passion for writing poetry, she received accolades at United Nations for her intense and reflective poem 'The World We Desire'. Her articles and poems have also been published in recognisable journals and magazines. Her initiation into translating poems stems from her affinity with Hindi poetry and ease of English language bringing sensitivity and balance to her translations.
