Still processing Otafest, but dam what a weekend. Both yanaginagi lives were so good, but that acoustic live was next level. You can't even get this kind of experience in Japan. Canada cons are the new meta.

Finally, on Sunday I took the shinkansen back to Yokohama to see Aimer at Pacifico. Same venue as TOMOO 2 days ago surprisingly. Aimer delivered a solid performance with her band members, with her signature vocals and beautiful instrumentation making for a good time. Also, I really liked the manipulation and the light effects, which added a lot of color to the performance.
On Saturday, I took the shinkansen to Kyoto to attend day 1 of Miyako Premium Live 2024. It's been a while since I last visited Kyoto and I forgot how chill it is. Rohm Theatre is a nice intimate venue and my row 11 middle seat made for a great experience. I decided to go because of the strong artist lineup and it didn't disappoint, with a solid setlist filled with classics and new bangers. I definitely wasn't expecting like 5-6 songs for each artist especially for a fes!
Of all the artists at Miyako day 1, Myuk in particular really impressed me. I last saw her at LisAni this year and became a fan then, but holy her performance Saturday was insane. I think she was even stronger than sajou no hana when they did the collaboration cover of Michishirube. Kinda bummed no one got her a flower stand :(. Going to have some serious FOMO for missing her live tour in February...
It's almost time to fly back so it's time to recap this weekend. First live on Friday was TOMOO. Wasn't sure what to expect since I went on a whim, but wow I really want to go to her Budokan show now. She's definitely a free spirit and it shows in how she expresses herself in the live. I was surprised it went for nearly 3 hrs! Her band members seemed really cool and chill too.
