@i_am_gs Very sad days for the NPP, what saddens my heart most is how the self acclaimed peace lover Dr Bawumia has kept quiet in all of this nonsense Abronye is doing
Today, I had the honour of meeting with 268 former MMDCEs at my private office in Accra.
We had a frank and forward-looking conversation about the future of our party and our beloved country. I emphasized the urgent need to rebuild our party on the foundation of unity, fairness, and respect for grassroots leadership.
I also reaffirmed my decision to contest in the upcoming primaries and shared my deep concern about the unfair treatment all MMDCEs faced under the previous administration. Excessive centralization in Accra undermined local governance, stripped MMDCEs of real power, and stalled development in our communities.
I assured them, under my leadership, that will change.
It’s time to restore dignity to public service and give real power back to the people on the ground.
Together, we will rebuild and rise.
@honkenagy We deeply appreciate your message of support. We are confident that your actions will demonstrate your solidarity with the victims. Your leadership inspires our continued trust.
On Sunday, May 18, 2025, heavy rains caused severe flooding in several parts of Accra, including East Legon Hills, Lakeside, Pantang, Taifa, Tema West, and many other communities. Sadly, lives have been lost, homes destroyed, and many families displaced. It’s heartbreaking.
To the families who lost loved ones and to all those affected by this disaster, my deepest condolences. I stand with you in this difficult time.
The videos shared by @kwadwosheldon brought the reality home, truly difficult to watch. I share in your pain, my brother. Stay strong, chale.
I’m calling on the President and NADMO to act with urgency. These communities need immediate support. We cannot continue to treat floods like a surprise. The people deserve better, and leadership must respond swiftly and responsibly.
Let’s stand together and help our fellow Ghanaians get back on their feet.
I am following with deep concern the recent escalation of tensions in Bawku and its surrounding areas. The cycle of violence and reprisals continues to harm innocent lives and disrupt our path to national unity.
At this crucial moment, I urge all parties, especially the youth, to choose peace. No matter how deep the grievance, violence is never the answer. Our future depends on peaceful coexistence.
I commend President Mahama for committing to the Otumfuo Osei Tutu II-led mediation process, originally set up by President Akufo-Addo. This is true statesmanship; putting Ghana above partisanship.
Let us support this effort wholeheartedly. When Bawku is at peace, Ghana is stronger. We must move forward together.
