WE COMMIT OUR JOURNEY AND THE FUTURE OF OGUN STATE TO GOD
We joined our revered elder and former Governor of Ogun State, Aremo Olusegun Osoba, CFR; the @OfficialAPCNg governorship candidate, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, @Sen_AdeolaYAYI; party leaders, religious leaders, stakeholders and the good people of Ogun State at the Interfaith Prayer and Praise programme held at Ake Palace, Abeokuta.
The gathering brought Christians and Muslims together in thanksgiving, praise and prayers for our dear state, our nation and all candidates of our great party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
We remain conscious that while we must continue to work diligently and faithfully discharge our responsibilities to the people, Almighty God remains supreme over the affairs of men. We therefore committed our aspirations, our party, our candidates and, above all, the peace, progress and prosperity of Ogun State into His hands.
We appreciate our religious leaders and everyone who joined us in this solemn gathering of faith and unity. May Almighty God continue to guide Ogun State and grant our people enduring peace and prosperity.
Facts only.
For too long, representation in Ogun State politics has been defined by billboards during campaign season, invisible lawmakers in Abuja, and constituents being told to wait for miracles while governors carry the entire weight of governance.
Senator Olamilekan Yayi fundamentally shattered that abnormal standard. In just three years representing Ogun West, he turned legislative responsibility into a masterclass on how public office should function. Let's talk specifics, because numbers don't lie and the timeline loves receipts:
Infrastructure That Speaks: While other federal lawmakers treat constituency projects as abstract concepts, Yayi has rolled out hundreds of transformative infrastructure projects, spanning critical rural and urban roads, upgraded primary healthcare centers, renovated community schools, and solar electrification initiatives that brought long-dark communities back to life.
Targeted Grassroots Empowerment: Development isn't just concrete; it's cash in the pockets of working people. From multi-million naira micro-credit grants disbursed directly to thousands of market traders and small business owners across the state, to massive equipment distributions for artisans and farmers, the economic impact reaches the deepest corners of the grassroots.
YESTERDAY AN EVENING OF PRAYER, WORSHIP & THANKSGIVING 🙏🏽
Yesterday, Ogun State gathered in faith, unity and thanksgiving at the All Faith Prayer and Worship Concert — an evening dedicated to prayer, worship and seeking the face of God for the future of our dear state.
Unrelated: I never knew the masses loved Yayi this much until this happened.
I was in a cab heading to Ayetoro. I sat at the back, pressing my phone, while enjoying every bit of the conversation happening in the car.
Then, the conversation somehow turned to the governorship election, and everyone started talking about projects Senator Adeola Yayi had facilitated in their towns.
I was amazed to hear a man in the front seat, who I later learnt was a farmer, join the conversation.
He said he was one of the beneficiaries of Senator Adeola’s 2025 farmers’ empowerment programme, which included the donation of farm equipment and agricultural inputs. He explained how much he made from the fertilizer intervention, saying it helped him save costs and make more profit.
Then, out of nowhere, he told the driver to refund everyone’s fare and that he would transfer the money to him.
Everyone thanked him, and prayed for him.. it was then I realized how far Senator Adeola Yayi’s name and the work associated with him have reached ordinary people.
Omooo, people love Yayi oooo 😭🤯
After his appearance on TVC, APC chieftain and grassroots mobiliser Hon. Ifekayode Akinbode continued the conversation on Channels TV, sharing his views on Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (YAYI), his record of public service and the Ìtèsíwájú Agenda for Ogun State.
HAPPENING NOW | VICTORY IS IN THE AIR
Ogun is gathered in one place, lifting voices in prayer, worship and thanksgiving at the All Faith Prayer and Worship Concert.
It is an evening of faith, unity and hope as people come together to seek God’s guidance and
This post melts my heart. ❤️
Senator Olamilekan Adeola YAYI keeps proving that leadership is not about noise — it is about humanity, results, and putting people first.
In Ogun West alone, the evidence is clear:
✅ Over 140 roads constructed (including the landmark 103km Ilara-Ilashe Road linking 26 communities)
✅ 340+ classroom blocks and libraries delivered
✅ More than 60 primary health centres and ICU facilities built
✅ Over 50,000 solar streetlights and 167+ transformers lighting up communities
✅ Ultra-modern markets, police stations and town halls rising across the five LGAs
✅ Scholarships and bursaries for over 5,500 students
✅ Empowerment grants touching thousands of traders, farmers, women and youths
From Imeko-Afon to Ipokia, Yewa North to Yewa South and Ado-Odo/Ota — the projects speak louder than any campaign slogan.
This is what caring for the people looks like.
Happy Independence Day to every meaningful Nigerian. 🇳🇬
And I can already imagine the transformation he will bring to the entire Ogun State when he becomes Governor in 2027.
YAYI is not just representing — he is rewriting the story of service.
Before Senator Olamilekan Yayi, Ogun State appeared cursed with gainful representation at the National Assembly.
In just 3 years, he showed us what is possible when Senators and Reps actually mean business.
In 3 years, YAYI outdid all the other Senators and Reps across ALL districts in Ogun State combined.
If one Senator from each senatorial district had delivered the level of project facilitation and empowerment Senator Olamilekan Yayi delivered in his 3 years representing Ogun West, Ogun would probably be the most developed state in Nigeria.
Prior to his emergence in Ogun politics, the governor was expected to do everything while others elected reps live large in Abuja.
{Please note: This tweet is bait. I am genuinely itching for someone to challenge it so we can put projects against projects and empowerment against empowerment.}

Fair punishment for Man City is 40-point deduction at the start of each of the next five seasons, including 26/27.
That would cripple them psychologically and will be a far-reaching punishment than relegating them to League One with the array of superstar players they have.

Gateway Deep Sea Port Construction Begins in November
We are pleased to announce that construction of the over $7 billion Gateway Deep Sea Port and Ogun State Blue Marine Special Economic Zone in Ogun Waterside will commence in November, immediately after the groundbreaking ceremony.
Following the signing of the MoU with DP World MEA FZE in Paris, witnessed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, we are moving decisively from planning to implementation. We expect the port to be substantially completed within two and a half years.
This transformational project will unlock the enormous maritime and economic potential of Ogun State, attract major investments, create jobs and position Ogun Waterside and our State as a major maritime hub in West Africa.
We are equally encouraged by the rehabilitation of the Sagamu–Ijebu-Ode–Ore Road and the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, which will further strengthen connectivity and economic activities across Ogun East.
Beyond maritime development, we remain committed to harnessing the vast bitumen deposits within the Ijebu East axis and exploring the crude oil potential identified in parts of our State.
We deeply appreciate President Tinubu for his unwavering support and commitment to this historic project. Our administration will continue to combine vision with implementation to unlock opportunities, attract investment and deliver sustainable prosperity for the people of Ogun State.
Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON
Governor of Ogun State

You see bolt drivers in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria, those ones are in a world of their own where they are kings and queens. Way beyond the control of @boltapp
The bolt app will give you a fare rate, then the driver will call you and say, “good moreen, you ordered for a ride, so how much are you going to pay now”.
Customer: the app says N4,500, what do you mean how much?
Driver: Please I am an older person, respect me, That place is N15,000, if you pay N12,000 I’ll carry you.
Facts about the MoU signing in Paris.
Ogun State and DP World has signed MoUs in Paris for the Gateway Deep Sea Port and Blue Marine Special Economic Zone — a $7bn+ investment that will create over 50,000 direct jobs and many more indirect opportunities.
President Tinubu’s presence at the signing shows the Federal Government’s support for state-driven projects that grow our national economy.
To those expressing concerns: this is not about one region over another. The port, linked to the coastal road, will open new trade corridors that benefit the entire country — including the East through better logistics, lower costs for goods, and employment opportunities for skilled and unskilled workers across Nigeria.
Development in one state strengthens us all. Let’s focus on the jobs, investment, and progress this brings and stop the misinformation being spread around.

Perhaps a useful question to consider is this: who is primarily responsible for driving development in each state — the President or the State Governors?
There has been some misunderstanding circulating about the Ogun Deep Sea Port project, so it’s worth clarifying the facts.
Ogun State has been working on this initiative for several years. It was originally known as the Olokola Deep Sea Port and was conceived as a joint project between Ogun and Ondo States. When progress stalled, Ogun State decided to move forward with developing its own side of the project. It is now known as the Ogun Deep Sea Port.
Under the leadership of @DapoAbiodunCON Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun, the state has worked diligently to secure a development partnership for the port. This project holds significant potential to open up Ogun State economically, support industrial growth, and complement existing infrastructure in the same axis — including the cargo airport and the coastal road that runs close to the proposed port site.
The goal is not to decongest Lagos or compete with other states. It is simply about developing Ogun State’s own potential. Every state has the opportunity and responsibility to pursue projects that advance its people and economy.
The President’s presence at the signing of the MoU in France reflects the national importance of the project and the pride in seeing a state government take a bold step that strengthens Nigeria’s maritime capacity and improves trade links, including connections toward the eastern part of the country via the coastal road.
If other states pursue projects of similar scale and ambition, it is reasonable to expect the same level of presidential support and recognition.
We encourage everyone to look closely at the available information and video materials so the facts can speak for themselves. Clear understanding helps us all move past unnecessary division.
We appreciate Governor Dapo Abiodun and the Ogun State Government for driving this initiative. It is a meaningful step toward placing the state on Nigeria’s maritime map, supporting industrial expansion, and unlocking further economic opportunities.

Take a look at how misinformation about the Ogun Deep Seaport became widespread among a particular set of people.
This is not random. It is a chain of mind capture, where people simply regurgitate whatever bias they are told without fact-checking.
@yayi_connect They just enjoy to cry everytime they see anything in Ogun state. They approved same thing in akwa ibom, no uproar. But it got to Ogun state time, they’re convulsing about it
@yayi_connect Their states will continue to be backward as long as the fail to hold their leaders responsible…
They should keep dragging Ogun state and expecting the president to do the work of State governors
@yayi_connect This is what we need when we talk about it continuity, it takes a visionary to understand what PDA has been doing all in the favor of Ogun state people
I believe Yayi will continue the good works and make Ogun state better than ever
