It's never easy to say goodbye. A stage of my career that began with so much excitement in February has come to an end. It has allowed me to discover a new country, a new city, a new style of football and has left me with so many new experiences and, more importantly, new friends.
I will always feel proud to have worn the Rayados' captain's armband, of having led the team in the first Club World Cup in the new format, of having fought in the Clausura, in the Apertura, in the Leagues Cup and in the Concacaf Champions Cup. Of having defended the Gigante de Acero by your side in every match we've played at home.
I have left everything on the pitch and off it to be able to give my very best. 34 games, over 3,000 minutes, 8 goals and so many emotions that can't be described in figures.
To the club, my dear teammates, the coaching teams, the staff, to everyone, thank you. And above all to you, the fans, who have made me feel your warmth and your support from the first time I stepped on the field. I'll always look back fondly on this stage of my career and I'll always be proud to say ¡Arriba el Monterrey!
Q: Faker on female players who are challenging themselves to go pro or pursuing a pro career
T1 Faker: "I think one of the greatest strengths of gaming is that men and women can play without any physical differences being a factor. As the number of female gamers continues to increase around the world, I hope they’ll keep playing an active role in the gaming scene and show lots of great matches in the future."
SO GOATED FOR THAT #FAKER
We fought to the end, and we left everything on the pitch. We leave here proud; we know that we defended this badge as we should. After that, it’s about small details and that’s football. You never lose; you learn.
On a personal level, I’m sore but satisfied with how I was able to contribute to the team. And also sad because this was perhaps my last appearance at a World Cup… but that’s life. Football is so fickle and beautiful that you never know. We continue to look ahead, eyes on the next challenge. Thank you all for all the love, support and trust.
