People open twitter just to vaguepost about how they know something you don't and make you hate your life.
I hope you see this and decides to be the reason someone else gets to experience feeling good today.
Bragging feeds the ego but caring feeds the soul.
Feels like we exist in a societal panopticon where a system plants expectations of compliance and shame into your mind as a kid and then by the time you are old enough to make decisions for yourself they don't need a parent or teacher telling you right from wrong in order to make sure you never EVER think for yourself.
The wrting quality of the psyche of Oliver Queen in the first two seasons of this show was genuienly masterful. Cutting back and fourth between the stoic zealout Oliver and the squeamish billionare trapped in hell was so fire, not to mention how well its used to structure character arcs season to season. This show doesn't get enough credit for making comic book characters relevant in television for more mature audiences.
@Allan_Pitanga Do you think the success of the flash and the attempt to create a cinematic franchise maybe watered down the focus the writers had on arrow and Oliver as a character?
Yeah I agree, that meta human route they went worked in season 1 and 2 of the flash but never translated super well into arrow for me personally. Oliver as a character was much more interesting fighting against networks and systems and people in established positions of power rather than superhumans every episode
@TGLLana Yeah I agree, flash season one overlapping with arrow season 3 didn’t have the same tone as the original arrow seasons and it only got worse from there.
@lberlim88 Truly. Stephen Amell always portrayed him so well even in the worse seasons and Oliver as a character was always so interesting to me even when he wasn’t the focal point anymore.
@AnneSilverBlade It really felt like they returned to a lot of what made the first two seasons so good, the stakes and the grittiness and genuinely menacing villains
