Mr Byrne, don’t you dare blame protesters for what has been done to my daughter.
The people who put my daughter’s healthcare at risk were not on the roads today. It was the HSE, backed by years of failure from Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael.
It is not protesters stopping me from getting to Dublin. The irony is that the truckers you want to point the finger at are actually the ones helping me get through.
So spare me the lectures and the fake outrage. My daughter’s health was not endangered by ordinary people standing up for themselves. It was endangered by a broken system, a useless government, and years of being ignored while she suffered.
Before you start blaming anyone else, look in the mirror. Because the real obstruction, the real danger, and the real disgrace is the way this country has failed my daughter again and again.

@MaiaDunphy Stood for 15 minutes in a disgusting smelly queue , only one machine working and everyone had sacks of returns !! Finally got there and yep , Machine Full !!! Convinced they deliberately make it difficult so as to picket non returns !

@conor_pope I absolutely resent the fact that instead of the recycling bin I pay for that we have to go stand in a queue to deposit the same items we put into our geeen bin for years without any issue , and yet still no pressure on the manufacturers of all this plastic to find alternatives!!

The board of @CHI_Ireland to be disbanded, and for there to be a full public inquiry in to Children’s health Ireland spina bifida and complex orthopaedic care.
These kids have been failed long enough and we need to see true systemic change brought in. #ResignHarris

While you make their breakfast, I stare at the open tin of formula that sustained Harvey’s body for the last 8 years trying to decide what to do with it.

While you tuck them in to bed, I’m trying to decide if we should turn Harvey’s bedroom light off.

While you shop for school clothes, I try to decide what to do with the large bag of new clothes I had just bought Harvey for school.

While you brush their teeth, I think about the little box of Harvey’s teeth I have sitting on his bookshelf.

While you brush their hair, I think about how glad I am that Harvey had just got a hair cut so he looked his best in his casket.

While you sit and watch tv at night, I sit and watch Harvey’s old shows so the house is filled with the noises it was when he was still with us.

While you get them a drink, I think about how Harvey was begging us for a drink but we couldn’t give him one.

While you create memories with your children, I think about how memories are all we have left, and any future memories made will always have a void.

While you kiss them goodbye for the day, I think about when I kissed Harvey goodbye for the last time.
