Activists wrote to the Ministry of Climate Change and the National Disaster Management Authority asking for information on various subjects from the Pakistan floods distribution of international aid to various projects detrimental to the environment of the country.
Right to Access Information Act 2017
The Right of Access to Information Act, 2017 was enacted to provide for a law which gives effect to the fundamental right of access to information as guaranteed under Article 19-A of the Constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
It gives the right to Pakistani citizens to access information from government bodies.
