The transportation priority of your city is reflected on the first thing you bought to travel around upon moving there. Do you agree? Mine are - Manila🇵🇭🚗 ... Tokyo🇯🇵Monthly subway pass ... Waterloo🇨🇦🚲 😉 @citywaterloo@RegionWaterloo@bmdoucet
When asked about where we are now that Bill 212 has passed, @MayorOliviaChow completely ignores any opportunity to advocate for safe, protected bike lanes on Bloor. Hopefully, she is fighting for her constituents in private, because she definitely isn't doing it publicly.

I'm continuing to urge the federal government not to let the Fall Economic Statement go by without listening to the disability community - and fixing the Canada Disability Benefit.
More on this and other calls I'm amplifying ahead of the of the FES, here: https://t.co/y3jUooSFgc
Speaking of a Ford removing bike lanes... anyone remember what happened when Rob Ford-era Toronto removed the Jarvis bike lanes?
Removing it cost several times more than installing it, and resulted in just two minutes of time savings for drivers

The Dutch invest €595 million annually on urban biking, resulting in €19 BILLION saved in public health care costs alone. That’s how smart govts do the math on investing in better mobility.
Let’s be clear — it wastes public money to NOT do it.

Dear Province:
I’ll make you a deal.
We’ll go to you for permissions on potential bike lanes if you build and support immediate housing for the 200,000 currently homeless in Ontario.
Deal?

Something we often hear when we're talking about cycling infrastructure is that it’s ableist... It only allows the physically fit to use their streets; to the exclusion of everyone else especially the elderly or disabled. It's worth pushing back on that idea on several levels. 🧵
Work has started on a new multi-use trail at the Kitchener Train Station, from the corner of Weber and Victoria to the train platform.
The trail will improve access to GO, VIA and GRT, and provide new active transportation connections.
I personally enjoy when my passion for sports collides with my enthusiasm for #sustainability. Enjoy finding ways when the two mix together positively in a way that reaches a broader audience. Super fun afternoon spent with my son too! #greeningsports#SoarAbove@FieldTurf
Yesterday I was thrilled to bike with members of @activeguelph to join @bikemayorwat for a Bike Bus. 🚲 🚌 It was a rainy afternoon but it dampened the spirits of the kids. Every community would benefit from a #BikeBus 👏🏼😻
The new Every Child Matters bus was unveiled this morning at the walk hosted by @healing_seven. The bus features artwork by Judy Ross Mack, a Swampy Cree painter and digital artist from the Territory Weenusk First Nations.
