📢 Andrej Karpathy's LLM Wiki is a pattern for building a personal knowledge base that actually compounds over time.

The diagram shows the full flow.

Raw sources - PDFs, web articles, notes, GitHub repos - go into a raw/ folder.

An LLM reads them and compiles structured markdown pages into a wiki/ folder, one page per concept, all linked together with [[wiki-links]].

When a user asks a question, the model navigates that pre-built knowledge graph and returns a rich, detailed answer, not just chunks pulled from raw documents.

The difference from RAG is fundamental. RAG rediscovers knowledge from scratch on every query. LLM Wiki builds it once and compounds it every time you add a new source.
