Colony’s release on Solana is an Alpha. I know some people want to use their specific avatar right out of the gate - we have the systems for that but are still working to complete and adjust the game loop to ensure it reflects the target of being easy for everyone to play and enjoy. Same goes for the different colony environments - perfect one and then scale it to all is the approach.

We also have in runtime 3D item crafting and a visual conversations with your avatar in the pipe waiting for engineering to clear some other higher priority items and the completion and adjustment of the general game loop.

The alpha is just a first cut of what we think the future of an AI simulation game will look like. Theres more work to do, I just want to manage expectations and ensure we communicate where we see the games state in its development lifecycle at alpha and set the understanding of ‘jobs not done’.

A new gaming category is extremely exciting but it requires us to answer new questions and navigate uncharted waters. Lots to do in the coming months but very good start that will lay the foundation for what comes next. I hope you keep this lens as you play the game for the first time and remember that there’s more to come.
