An Amazon driver refused to deliver my parcel today because they took a wrong turn, wouldn't turn the car around to go the right way and then shouted at me on the phone that if I wasn't going to walk to them to collect it (9 minutes from my flat) then they were sending it back

I wasn't home at the time they called me (though even if I was I don't think they would have helped the situation). But I live in a pretty easily accessible area and the only thing the driver kept repeating on the phone was "I'm not coming to you, my satnav took me this way"

Money in a payslip is great, and I absolutely agree that there are clearly large sectors paid for by our government who are severely underpaid, but what's the point if we all end up too exhausted to spend it or dying too young from all the stress and lack of sleep

Today I'm striking because money isn't the only thing grinding the public sector to a burnt out halt. We need investment in PEOPLE we need resources and staffing because I can't see a way out of the downward spiral until the huge workload can actually be shared
