In science this week our key question was ‘Can I investigate solubility?’ To do this, we worked in groups to dissolve sugar in water until it was saturated.
In DT we have been evaluating different bread products from around the world. We enjoyed tasting different types of bread. Our discussions focused on describing the texture, appearance, smell and taste. Our favourite was the brioche!
**FUN FRIDAYS**
Throughout the year, we will be having a number of Fun Fridays! We are excited to announce that the first Fun Friday will be this week (13th September). The children will enjoy a bouncy assault course, face paints and a visit from a surprise guest!

The children are having a brilliant time at Colomendy. They have taken part in climbing and abseiling and are looking forward to an evening of activities.
This week, we have started our new persuasive speech unit. We read a story about the experiences of refugees and carried out research. We created mind maps and presented them to each other.

During our science lesson today we learned about the different stages of a bird’s life cycle. We also labelled the different parts of an egg. We cracked some eggs into a bowl and examined its different parts.
