Welcome back all, and welcome to year five! Every class in school is named after plants this year. Mrs Flynn's class will be called Hazel, and Mr Hudson's will be called Ash.

Year 5 have been working on 'rock and roll' music. We have learnt it originated in America. We have learnt a hand jive and how to play a walking bass line.

Well done to those year fives who have kept their reading records going since September! Remember to bring them in on a Tuesday to get them checked. New records are available in class if you need one. Try to read for 10 minutes at home each day.

We have finished our swimming this term and have had a great time learning life saving skills. Our PE sessions will now be on Wednesday afternoons in the hall. Pupils can come to school in their PE kits on Wednesdays.
