Do you know what the best part of this drama truly was? The development of Ian and Huiju throughout the entire story.
Ian chose to love Huiju quietly for years without expecting anything in return, never even hoping he would meet her again until fate brought them back together at the royal birthday banquet. And from that moment on, Ian and Huiju became the heart of the drama.
Honestly, they are one of the healthiest married couples I’ve ever seen in a Kdrama. There were no dragged out misunderstandings or unnecessary fights. Yes, they had frustrating moments, but what made them special was that they were brave enough to face those moments together. They communicated, apologized sincerely even through something as simple as a phone call, supported each other through difficult times, and solved problems the way real married couples should.
I also love how natural Ian’s love felt. He casually confessed his feelings to Huiju in ordinary conversations, never making it dramatic or demanding anything in return. He simply loved her deeply and patiently. Even when Ian knew Huiju had feelings for him too, he never pressured her. He waited for her to accept her feelings at her own pace.
And Huiju’s growth was just as beautiful. Little by little, she opened her heart after realizing Ian loved her unconditionally without expecting anything back. In the end, they became each other’s safe place, the person they could always return to whenever life became overwhelming.
Ian and Huiju truly deserved each other, and their relationship is honestly what made so many of us stay with this drama until the very end.
And none of this would’ve felt this special without Wooseok and IU. Wooseok embodied Prince Ian perfectly, while IU brought Seong Huiju to life so beautifully.
By the end of Perfect Crown, the title no longer refers to the throne itself, but to the freedom Ian finally found after letting it go. After ascending the throne and abolishing the monarchy with the people’s support, Ian chose to end the cycle of power, sacrifice, and suffering tied to the royal family. Three years later, while Huiju returns as the successful CEO of Castle Beauty, Ian lives quietly as the director of a royal history foundation (?), preserving the past instead of being trapped by it. For the first time in his life, he looks carefree, able to breathe, rest, and love Huiju freely without the weight of the crown crushing him. In the end, the ‘perfect crown’ was never about ruling a kingdom, but about becoming someone finally free enough to live as himself.

After ep10, ep12 is my favorite.
It had everything: serious plots, cute scenes, family scenes & most of all it gave the feeling of satisfaction & closure.
Monarchy wasn’t abolished because of love.
Love gave Lee Wan courage to do what he knew needed to be done
#PerfectCrownEp12
thank you for letting us witness a love so beautiful and sincere... thank you for making us laugh, cry, scream, and fall in love every week...
our precious seong huiju and lee wan, our beloved wanseong... you'll always be loved so dearly by us 🥹
The writers & directors regarded the viewers much higher than the viewers regard themselves. Half questions used to “prove” the story weak are answered with the simplest deduction based on what was shown. And half don’t need answers.
Fast-consumption content did that to us.
Are we really at the finale? There are still so many questions left unanswered.
• Who tampered with Huiju’s car? Who killed the man who did it?
• Who is Huiju’s father’s spy in the palace?
• How did Wan get a copy of the will if the palace burned down?
• Will Wan and Huiju find out PM Min helped leak the marriage contract?
• Did PM Min really turned to the dark side just because he likes Huiju?
• Will Huiju find out about Wan’s crush during their Royal Academy days?
• Will we get more WanSeong romance? Where’s the romcom??
Is the last episode going to be 4 hours long? Because this doesn’t feel like the finale and the story needs 16 episodes to wrap it up!! 😫
Nowadays viewers want EVERYTHING to be presented in the silver plate, told 3 times for better understanding so they don’t have to look up from their previous phones.
Your plot holes are solved with simple deduction and a little brain work. FFS. How lazy y’all are
Sorry guys but if Perfect Crown got 16 eps we would’ve gotten assistants love story, spy’s sob story, palace stuff stories, flashbacks of the queen’s crash, rituals in every detail, etc.
Remember every 16 ep show. A lot of skipping material, less leads and less main storyline
Biasanya gua liat kissing scene itu 'ngelumat'nya 1 1 gak sih? Kayak bibir bawah dulu baru bibir atas gitu, ini wooseok bibir atas sama bibir bawah IU di Hap semua njir, bener-bener definisi dimakan 🤣
