@Joey7Barton Disagree with a lot of your opinions, but this post is appreciated - my father played pro football (Hartlepool) and elite rugby in 60s and 70s. He now has Parkinson’s which - although may be unrelated to sport - your post brings concussion/CTE to wider attention. Thank you.
@HMRCcustomers I’ve submitted my 22/23 Self Assess in Dec 23 & requested that the approx £800 tax owed is included in my 24/25 PAYE code. I meet the 3 reqs for including the tax in PAYE, but SA a/c shows I owe the full £800 by 31/01/24. How do I confirm it will be taken by PAYE?
@GaryLineker#matchoftheday - great to see the Parkinson’s Football feature. My dad (78) has Parkinson’s - he played some games for Hartlepool United under Bryan Clough and will love to see the efforts to support people like him from the sport he loved. Thank you!
@sid_lambert I maintain the “arms in the air” move did two things:
1) Gave him half an extra yard of pace
2) Took his weight off his feet for a second so he could decide which way to go when he hit the ground again
Love watching him so much. Everything player.
@KrystiPryde I am 47. I was a teenager when the internet became mainstream. My 18-year-old self circa 1994 would feel very reassured knowing this kind of thread would exist in the future. This is very pure and utterly wonderful. Bravo from me and my 18-year-old self
@GPrime85 Excellent content. I think this content will also be popular but that’s just my opinion.

@FootballInT80s Clough. What a man. My father played a few games for Hartlepool United when Clough was manager. My father said that Clough could figure people out instantly and knew precisely what each player needed - some needed kindness, some needed toughness, some needed guidance etc. Genius
@historyinmemes He’s nailed the basics of being an eligible man:
1) Superb hair
2) Excellent smile
3) Snappy dresser
4) Willingness and ability to cross continents on a bike to take a chance on love
I think we can all agree, it’s his flawless hair than won it for him.
@adalluch I have a needle phobia and related VS too. The only method I’ve successfully used is prescription Valium (diazepam) from my doctor - the medicine is taken just before the procedure involving needles. I also agree with other users who recommend talking therapies. Good luck.
@mollymcghee I have two children under 8. They view stairs as an unholy hybrid of a cupboard and commercial distribution centre, the contents of which become instantly invisible (spoiler - I taught them this exact behaviour and I am ashamed)
@NobbyClarke82 Yup - thought is was speakers playing up. But no - the live audio is messed up. Might go old-school, mute the audio and stick radio Newcastle on for the commentary!
