White people, it is our responsibility to have “uncomfortable” conversations with family and friends right now. Remember, the discomfort you may face during these conversations is nowhere near the level of discomfort black people face everyday in this society that NEEDS change.
We asked the “law enforcement officers” in the area we protested in yesterday to take a knee & join us before we left for curfew & ONE cop out of the 50+ that I saw with my own eyes knelt. Statistically speaking, NINETY EIGHT % of the cops there are against a positive change??
My mom’s hair salon is called “bloom” salon and my sister is a graphic designer and redesigned my mom’s logo to be “BLooM” with a capital BLM. Using her creativity to have her voice be heard like that makes me so proud. Wow I love her.
