@JasonAlb@jewishmemequeen Risk is close to zero in modern times, sure. But 1) people have their own shofars at home, 2) not every community has an eiruv, 3) chazal prohibited it - who are we to go against them? (Given our different backgrounds, we probably disagree on 3 lol)
@JasonAlb@jewishmemequeen You’re misunderstanding what they said and what the issue is - the concern is that one might come to carry it in a public domain (meaning outside an eruv). Eruv is by definition is not public domain.
