How lucky are we to spend the day at Marwell Zoo! The children learnt various life skills about being out in the community and listened closely to the adults instructions in order to keep safe. It was very exciting to see and acquire a knowledge of all the different animals. ๐ฏ๐ฆ
The children adapted well and they all fell into a deep tranquil sleep very quickly! They are shaded by the big tree in the garden and are being closely monitored by a team member at all times. We must admit they look very cute resting in the outside environment.โบ๏ธ
Today was the day of our garden tea party - Jubilee style! The whole nursery came together to mark the occasion and it was lovely watching the children interact with each other whilst eating yummy food. We were very patriotic and sang the National Anthem.
Fair Oak is feeling very patriotic, the children are learning the National Anthem and coming dressed up as kings and queens or red white and blue this week. This brings happiness, positivity and pure joy to the nursery. ๐ธ
The Queen's Jubilee celebrations have begun early here at Fair Oak! Following the Queens wish of planting a tree to mark 70 years of reign. We decided to take a trip to the garden centre and fulfil this request. We are all looking forward to watching it grow! ๐
Its that time of year again !! The children are super excited that the caterpillars have arrived and have started naming them all ready. We have been reading the story and making /drawing caterpillars of our own. Learning is such fun!!
High Vis' on and off we go! The children and the team love to be outside in the forest and we have made this part of their weekly routine. This week we tuned into our senses and were on the look out for the beautiful bluebells!
The children, parents and staff have shown 100% support and got beside Clare with her fund raising for the Charity "Do it for the kids" with a sponsored walk around the building. Super proud of everyone that participated! ๐

We have been supporting Comic Relief today by coming in dressed all sporty. After a fitness themed exercise group time in the garden the children all enjoyed the sunshine running around with all their friends. Thank you to everyone who donated! #comicrelief#brighthorizonsfairoak
World Book Day! - It is so important for children to learn to love books. Such great learning comes from a book and allows the children to develop in so many areas. Getting children into a strong bedtime routine, Remember, no app can replace a lap!
The children are super excited to be looking after Coco and Pickle this week! They have been learning about what the Guinea pigs eat, how to look after them and enjoying the comfort and companionship of having pets in the nursery setting.
And the dinosaur topic continues! Following on from our dino den, one of our lovely parents came in and introduced the children to Poppy the Parasaurolophus! They were so excited to learn all about her and keen to ask lots of questions.
Following the children's interests of Dinosaurs, we have created an amazing Dino Den! The children have been so engaged with their imaginations and have been bonding with peers over this topic. What Roarsome fun! ๐ฆ
Preschool have been learning all about Chinese New Year. We have created our very own dragons and blossom trees using our imaginations. We learnt that blossom trees symbolise power and strength and dragons represent good luck and health.
Ahoy there my hearties! We love a dress up day here at Fair Oak and the children have enjoyed participating in many pirate activities. These have included exploring maps, hunting for treasure in the sand, making eye patches and baking yummy x marks the spot biscuits! ๐ดโโ ๏ธ
What a lovely festive time we have had this morning! All children have participated in making "Reindeer food" ready for Christmas Eve!๐ฒ We practiced our scooping and pouring carefully into the cones and had conversations on what Santa might bring for the girls and boys.
