@JZBurger I agree with Viserys being a hypocrite. He was also a major coward who gave in way too easily to expectations and pressure instead of having any sense or reason. There wasn't anything they could do to change the past, but he could've molded Westeros' future for the better.

Phia does such a wonderful job showing the little nuances in Helaena's expressions. She's such an internal character, but you see her realize how much Alicent truly hates being a mother here. Her own mother would've left her behind if she was in that position.

I don't believe a Rhaenyra x Aegon marriage would've prevented much of anything. There were still many Rhaenyra loyalists who swore to her before the Hightowers even came into the picture, and who resented the hell out of their overzealously. And then there'd always be Daemon.
