i keep thinking abt how rossi is widely regarded as the one who set the modern standard for rider-box relationships, and in more than 20 yrs never threw a helmet or smashed things in his box. and yet ppl praising marini still somehow feel the need to bring him up😭
at some point you have to admit that grown men are not downloadable software packages. riders learn things from mentors, sure, but they also have their own personalities, their own choices, and their own capacity to disappoint you. not everything can be traced back to a classroom
if every public mistake and stupid comment a vr46 rider makes is supposedly proof of the academy’s values, then every act of kindness and every good thing they do would have to be proof of the academy’s values too. but somehow ppl only apply that logic in one direction

valentino said this after analyzing am73’s crash and wishing him well, using his usual tone while pointing out that riders don’t really have any other choice in those situations. anyone still trying to stir things up in a moment like this is just showing a lack of basic humanity.

@wht_r_we@wetfroggie a fact: according to luca’s post race interview, the current safety committee routinely only includes luca, pecco and jack. this week franco, bez, and jorge also attended. i hope marc as the new generation rider leader can step up and take responsibility
the saddest part is that this came from alessio piana, a journalist i once respected… i get that he expects more from valentino, but twisting things without even posting his full words is just disgusting.
@AlessioPiana130 i’m still choosing to express my disappointment in english, after vale analyzed the zarco and alex incident, he said in his usual ironic tone, “what else can riders even do?” and then you posted this, fully aware of what it would trigger…
@Roberta07love in fact valentino is basically fully aware of what he says and understands how it will spread. if he says something controversial, it’s definitely to appeal to that segment of the audience and he’s willing to deal with the consequences
mgptwt are going all out explaining that it’s totally normal to dislike a rider, making such a big scene… and i thought martin’s fans must have done some intense counterattack, but in reality you can count them on two hands lol
